Originally the plan was to make the cover from the front and the back of the book. But plans have changed. The cover of the book will remain intact and the back of the book will be used for the verse card box.
Making the Box
I am the number one guinea pig here at ARTK12 so Kristin printed out the verse box prototype, gave me a few key instructions…okay maybe more than a few. Half a dozen maybe? A dozen? Who’s counting? Then she handed me the prototype, some tape, a ruler and a scissors and then let me loose.
The steps are fairly simple (especially if I can do it).
- Cut on the solid lines
- Score along the dotted lines (this makes it easier to fold)
- Fold along the dotted lines
- Tape the base of the box
- Close the lid…look at your new box
Here’s the result. Enjoy.

Looking good!
Hey that’s pretty cool!
Yes. Kristin nailed this one not only because it’s cool, but I was also able to easily put it together in about 15 minutes.
