Crayon Challenge: Monet’s Haystacks

This week I’ve decided to institute a monthly challenge that I’m calling The Crayon Challenge. I will reproduce a famous work of art using only white paper and a box of 64 Crayola crayons. Of course, I will then include instructions for you to reproduce the same work of art at home.

Monet, Claude. Haystacks, End of Summer, (Morning Effect). 1891. Oil on canvas, 60.5 cm x 100.8 cm. Musée d’Orsay, Paris, France. [Public domain], via Wikimedia Commons.

Sound like fun? I thought so.

One of Lucy’s classes tried it and loved it! And they did such a good job that I’ve posted their drawings here too.
