Draw the Renaissance: Cover in Progress

This is not the final cover.

To end the year we will be publishing some drawing and forgery books for great art. Kristin has a lot of material from her very popular art classes from back in the day and we are going to incorporate some of that into these books. The first two books we’ll be doing:

  • Draw the Renaissance
  • Renaissance Forgeries

We are planning to do this for 3 other eras:

  • Ancient
  • Medieval
  • Impressionism

In the Drawing books your students will be drawing great art, sculpture and architecture from the eras using easy step-by-step instructions. By drawing the piece students will become familiar with it and remember it. In many cases they’ll be drawing a detail from a famousĀ  piece of art. For example, they’ll be drawing the hands from Michelangelo’s The Creation of Adam from the Sistine Chapel:

Students will be able to download starter templates for each drawing if they desire. These books will be reusable, so you’ll only need one per household.

  • 8.5″ x 11″
  • Full Color
  • Paperback and Hardback will be available

In the forgery book your students will initially have to determine which piece is the original. Once they determine that, they will then have to find differences between the two pieces. We’ll be recommending using page protectors over the forgery so your students can mark them, but still be able to use the book in the future.

Once both our Renaissance books are completed we’ll be running a free book contest for U.S. residents. Winners will be able to choose one or the other. You must be a newsletter subscriber to participate. Use the button at the bottom of the page to subscribe.
