The more things change, the more they remain the same. I think I heard that somewhere.

We have not been happy with our previous cover ideas. You can see the previous versions in our previous posts about them: Draw the Natural Wonders of Europe! and Working Cover for New Geography Book. Something about them just wasn’t working for Kristin. I defer to Kristin on all matters regarding styling of the books. Honestly, I didn’t think they were that bad, but I’m just a dude who likes Marvel movies, so there’s that.

After some more prototypes we have returned to a similar format currently being used on the Draw the World series. Our two goals when we began was to make sure the books tied together visually, but also that they were distinct enough not be confused with one another. So, here’s what we came up with:

The plan currently is to keep the colors consistent across all 9 books. The title, the background country or continent and the flora and fauna around the circle will all change depending on the book. Anyway, that’s the plan on September 9th at 7:14 a.m.

As with all our books, when this one is published we will be running a contest through the newsletter for 10 free books. Only newsletter subscribers are eligible (use the blue button below). It’s a bit like blackmail, but we’re nice about it.

In our last contest for The Worse for It we had all 10 winners in less than 30 minutes…so you do have to be fast. Three of our winners were named Amy, a record, I think, that will stand forever here at ARTK12.
