ARTK12 has a new retailer in the house: Exodus Books. They have ordered all our map books and both semesters of our American Art History books. Most of the books are already available on the Exodus Books’ website.
Exodus Books not only has a retail website, but also a physical bookstore in Oregon City, Oregon. They’ve been in business since 1994. Here’s the first paragraph from their “About Us” page:
Exodus Books specializes in books and materials for education, edification, and enjoyment. We always use the Oxford comma. We carry over 25,000 carefully-selected new and used products. These include homeschool materials, school curriculum, quality literature, and Christian books and media.
And they’re smart! I had to look up the “Oxford comma”, “edification”, “enjoyment” and lots of other words. Here’s what the “Oxford comma” is:
a comma used after the penultimate item in a list of three or more items, before ‘and’ or ‘or’ (e.g. an Italian painter, sculptor, and architect ).
I have always preferred not using the Oxford comma, blunt pencils, unlined paper and credit cards for pizza. Though I would use a credit card for pizza if I didn’t have the cash because I’m not a crazy person.
Anyway, they do have A LOT of books. You can probably find anything you want at Exodus Books. Homeschooling, fiction, literature and Christian books are all there. They also have a “Just for Fun” category. That’s where I’m going. So do some exploring!
If you’re a fan of Exodus Books or have never heard of them, go ahead and check them out. Right now they’re selling our map books for one penny more than we are but on their site you can buy one at a time. Man, the competition out there is stiff! I’ll try not to think about it. In fact, I’m just going to go to bed. I’ll think about it tomorrow. Or maybe the next day. Or possibly the weekend. Next week might work too. Good night.
